Surajkund Lake

Surajkund Lake was built by King Suraj Pal of Tomar Dynasty in the 10th Century, it is an artificial Kund (lake) situated in Faridabad, Haryana. Presently this lake is totally dry. It is mostly famous for its annual handicraft mela which happens in the month of February every year. National awarded handicraft workers come from all over the country to display their work.

Visited this place at the time of Surajkund handicraft festival. No signs of any lake, it was all dried up. But great place to see so many handicraft items from all over the country. Try to come on weekdays for the festival because on weekends and holidays it will be too much...
