Paonta Sahib is major attraction of number of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims. This historical city town Paonta Sahib on the banks of river Yamuna was founded by tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. It is believed that the major portion of sacred book- the Dasam Granth was wrote here by Guru Gobing Singh. The city has marvelous Gurdwara named "Gurdwara of Paonta Sahib" in memory of Guru Gobind Singh.
